"The Corn Snakes (Pantherophis guttatus) underbelly looks like a kernel of Indian corn, hence the name Corn Snake. They can also be found near cornfields because these fields attract their favourite meal..rodents! They are not venomous, belonging to a group of snakes called constrictors who squeeze their prey until then suffocate. They are usually orange or dark yellow in colour, with red blotches or stripes on their back."
