Great news from Whitehouse Farm! Our beautiful Black Sow Victoria has given birth to six of the cutest little piglets.
Come along to the farm to see them for yourself, but don't wait too long - they won't be tiny for long!
Kids galore at Whitehouse Farm
Here at Whitehouse Farm we've got kids galore! Two of our lovely Anglo-Nubian goats gave birth 3 weeks ago and have had 5 kids between them. Shirley had triplets called Leo, Libra and Gemini and Luna had twins called Barney and Bambi (pictured above). Anglo-Nubian goats are well known for their long legs and very long floppy ears. You can see them and proud daddy Charlie in the petting barn when you come to the farm.
Happy Birthday Vee!
Our beautiful 5 legged lamb Vee is now 1
Vee surprised us all last year when she was born with 5 legs, 4 normal ones and one coming out of her side. She became an instant star overnight with visitors and staff alike.
Vee is now 1 and a fully grown sheep. She is regularly checked by the vet and her 5th leg remains in place but you can barely see it now under her fleece.
The pictures below show her as a new born lamb and now, with our Heather.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR VEE!
It's all sunny at Whitehouse Farm
Summer has arrived at Whitehouse Farm and all our animals are happy to be outside in the sunshine.
Our cows, sheep and lambs have now all moved outside in to the tractor field. Take a tractor ride and meet them all...you might even get a Hello from Vinnie the Bull.
Take a stroll down the walkway and meet goats, donkeys, ponies, wallabies, llamas and alpacas. You can buy food at the shop to feed them all along the way!
We look forward to seeing you all soon, don't forget the sun cream!
Bottle Feeding is now ON!
From February half term, we are now bottle feeding our gorgeous lambs
Times are 11.15am and 3.30pm every day Tuesday - Sunday
We look forward to seeing you soon
Meet Flip and Flop
How cute are Flip and Flop, our beautiful new baby Pygmy goats. They were born on 18th January at 4pm and are our first kids of the year! Sadly they lost their mummy so they are being cared for by all the staff here at the farm. You can see them running around the lambing shed when you come along to see us!
