CARAVAN CLUB
 
The small CL site is for Caravan Club members only and is an ideal location to use as a base to explore Northumberland and the surrounding areas or just as a stop over to break a journey as we are only 1 mile from the A1.
The 5 pitch site itself is fairly secluded, all pitches have electric hookup and are on hard standing. There is a chemical waste disposal point and water tap available. There are no toilet facilities on the site but members can use the toilets at the visitor centre approx 200 metres away.
Open all year round, a pitch including 16 amp electric hookup is £10 per night. If you wish to visit the Farm Centre while staying on the site you will receive a 10% discount on admission prices

Within an hours drive you can enjoy the fantastic coastline of Northumberland with 39 miles of sweeping sandy beaches and golden dunes. Some of the castles on the coast include Lindsfarne on Holy Island, Bamburgh a majestic castle on a rocky basalt outcrop dominating the Northumbrian coastline and Dunstanburgh.
 
Inland you can visit market towns such as Hexham, Morpeth and Alnwick which is also has the castle used in the 1st Harry Potter Film and The Alnwick Garden with water sculptures and home to one of the world’s largest treehouses. Northumberland National Park covers a massive 400 square miles with the roman remains of Hadrian’s Wall a world heritage site to the south and Simonside hills, Cheviot Hills and Scottish borders in the north. Kielder Water and Forest Park has the largest man made lake in Europe with a 27 mile perimeter an ideal place for fishing, walking and mountain biking.
Historic Houses and museums are plentiful around the County including Cragside Country House and grounds near Rothbury, Belsay Hall , Wallington Hall, Woodhorn Museum and Country Park and Beamish Museum near Durham to name a few. For lovers of retail therapy the Metro Centre is one of Europes largest shopping centres just 30 minutes south on A1 . The city of Newcastle has an abundance of shops, restaurants, bars museums and galleries. For golf enthusiasts there is the championship course at Slaley near Hexham plus Longhirst and Morpeth courses nearby.
